Take the Fjelltun rowing boat on to lake Atnsjø to catch and roast fish on the
barbecue.
Drive on towards the fjords after a week at Fjelltun. It takes about five hours to reach
Geiranger, a lively tourist town. From Geiranger various boat trips on the fjords can
be made.
Make a day trip by train from Dombås to Åndelsnes vice versa. It is a spectacular
journey through beautiful nature. Scenes from the last Harry Potter film were shot at
locations along the track.
Take the children to Hunderfossen (a Disney-ish theme park) near Øyer.
In March: make a cross-country backpacking ski trip. You could start off staying at
Fjelltun for two or three nights and then travel to the Alvdal Vestfjell region on skis,
staying at mountain huts or hotels. And finish off relaxing a couple of days in Fjelltun.
Make a full moon cross-country ski trip.
On the way back (or on the way to Fjelltun) you could take the Rv3 and visit the Skog
nature museum at Elverum.
On a rainy day, visit the wellness centre with sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool and
steam bath in Spidsbergseter, or Savalen Spa, for some relaxation.
From November to March the sky at night is amazingly beautiful.
